LOGO DESIGN

BRIEF

Create a mascot style logo that directly illustrates the function of Wilderbranch Construction LLC.

STORY

Wilderbranch specializes in tree removal and land clearing. They approached me to do a mascot logo of a tree for the company. Knowing that tree designs are a dime a dozen, and that a tree wouldn’t properly demonstrate the service offered, I dug deeper into what this character might be. After speaking with the owner we came to the mutual agreement that the logo should be more unique. I discovered that the main tool used by Wilderbranch was an excavator with a chipper attached to the front. I had the idea to illustrate his excavator as a fierce character gnawing on a tree trunk. This met the goal of creating a mascot and also illustrating the service that Wilderbranch offers.

BRIEF

Create branding for a business that provides therapy to children through the use of horses.

STORY

The owner of dream equine therapy wanted something that was dreamy but also reflected the main focus of the therapy which is the use of horses. I came up with the idea of a horseshoe that also too the form of a dreamcatcher. The client was really sold on including a horse in the illustration so that was added to appease the client. I then selected fonts that were professional and also dreamlike. This combination was chosen to include the seriousness of a therapy clinic and also the dreamyness of the clients vision of the brand.

BRIEF

Aid a local photographer Jordan Massam in kicking off his photography business by creating a logo, business card, watermark and t-shirt design.

STORY

I created a logo that used the futuristic and geometric motifs found in modern music design. I used a minimalist approach to keep the logo clear and focused. I also kept the logo simple and one color. This was a choice made so that Jordan could use the logo as a watermark as well without detracting from his photography.

BRIEF

Create branding for a local museum to help them achieve their goal of reaching a wider audience.

STORY

The Edward Hand Medical Museum is a small museum located in Lancaster Pa jam packed with a large variety of medical relics and oddities. We worked with Hannah, the director, to rebrand the foundation as a museum instead of a “heritage foundation”. The purpose of this was to be more clear to potential visitors about what their experience at the museum will be like. I created a new logo that demonstrates professionalism while using the historic quality of Edward Hands signature. The result was a brand new look and appeal that targeted potential Lancaster PA museum goers.

STORY

I created a logo for my band Numerics. The shapes that make up the "N" are supposed to represent the number to connect it to the idea of numbers. The forms of the letters were inspired by tubes on a tube amplifier.

BRIEF
